A pensioner had to be rescued from her Mercedes after it destroyed a brick wall, wedging itself inside a private garage. The 83-year-old's hatchback received a smash window while a metal bar and bricks pierced the vehicle.
Fire crews were able to get the woman from the Mercedes A150, she was taken to hospital via ambulance, Wales Online reports. Police attended the site of the incident which involved two cars in Stondon, Beds on Monday afternoon.
Pictures from the scene were released on Twitter by Bedfordshire Fire Control, captioned: "One female casualty has been released by our Shefford & Kempston crews and conveyed to hospital by Ambulance."
Emergency services have been contacted for an update on the state of the driver's condition.
