Woman, 38, missing from hospital as police issue 999 alert amid 'increasing concern'

Police have issued a 999 alert for a woman who has gone missing from hospital.

Leighanne went missing from City Hospital in Birmingham late afternoon on Saturday.

West Midlands Police said she has now been seen since and they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for her welfare.

They also issued a grainy picture of Leighanne in their appeal for anyone who may spot her to call 999.

She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and black trousers, reports Birmingham Live.

In a Twitter post at 4:28am on Monday, along with Leighanne's picture, West Midlands Police asked: "Can you help us find Leighanne?

"The 38-year-old was last seen at City Hospital in #Birmingham at around 5am on Saturday and hasn’t been seen since.

"We are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt & black trousers."

They added in a later tweet that if anyone has information, they should call 999 quoting log 654 of 21 May.
