Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly "likely to place" Steve Cooper under consideration in their search for a new head coach if he leaves Nottingham Forest.
The Welshman's future at the City Ground is under serious threat following the Reds' fifth straight defeat. The 4-0 collapse at Leicester City on Monday night may have been the final straw, as it is claimed Cooper is "on the brink of losing his job".
Rafa Benitez has emerged as a potential replacement following the East Midlands derby humbling. City fans reminded Cooper of the pressure he was under, as chants of "sacked in the morning" were heard around the King Power Stadium.

If Cooper does depart, Wolves, who have just sacked Bruno Lage, are likely to consider a move for Cooper, according to the Telegraph.
The report states: "Cooper will be highly sought after if he does depart, with Wolves likely to place him under consideration. He is also proven in the Championship, with three play-off finishes in a row, and will be in demand by many."
Following defeat at Leicester, Cooper admitted: "It’s a run of results that’s not good, and I’m not going to shy away from that. But the situation we are in is, we have got a lot of new players.
"It’s not just about being a team on the pitch, it’s about the relationships, the camaraderie, the connections, everything else that you need to be a successful team. It’s a unique situation. It’s one we’re trying to face up to and get through. We’re just having phases in games where it’s really costing us. We’re talking about it, we’re addressing it."
