When you think of a night at the theatre, you don’t usually think of full-blown confrontation. However, that is exactly what happened at a recent performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Broadway actor Kelsie Watts, who currently stars as Satine in the production, took to her socials to share the chaotic details of the fight that almost broke out in front of the stage. The story struck a nerve with theater fans, racking up nearly 200,000 views across TikTok and Instagram.
Watts explained that the drama unfolded between audience members in the first and second rows, who apparently had, as she put it, “beef the entire show.” Watts also noted that the individuals involved were adults. “And keep in mind, these people are like in their 50s, okay? Like, we’re not talking about little kids. These women are in their 50s, okay? I think that’s important to know.”
