Witness sought after death of elderly woman who was hit by pedestrian

The Metropolitan Police are on the hunt for a witness after an elderly woman collided with another pedestrian in north-east London and died from an infection following her injuries.

Inelfa Zanna, 83, was walking along Seven Sisters Road near the junction with Eburne Road in Holloway when she collided with another person around 1pm on November 29, 2021.

Ms Zanna suffered a number of injuries and was treated in hospital, but subsequently caught an infection and died less than a month later on December 23, 2021.

Police investigating the case have released an image of a woman they wish to identify, who may may have witnessed the collision between Ms Zanna and the pedestrian.

Police want to speak to this woman (Metropolitan Police)

Detective Inspector Anna Deighton, from the local policing team in Islington, said: “Inelfa’s family need to know the exact circumstances of the incident in which she suffered serious injuries.

“If you are the woman in the picture, or if you know can identify her, please call us on 101 quoting 2501/06Dec.”
