Wimbledon is back and the favourites for the men’s and women’s titles are both on show.
Women’s world No1 Iga Swiatek kicked things off on Court One, beating Zhu Lin in straight sets, but Nick Kyrgios is now out of his scheduled opener against David Goffin and the entire tournament due to a wrist injury.
Novak Djokovic may have lost his No1 seeding to Carlos Alcaraz but remains hotly-tipped to reign supreme this year. He is first up on Centre Court to face Pedro Cachin.
British interest can be found on Court 2 as Katie Swan faces No14 seed Belinda Bencic before No27 seed Dan Evans takes on Quentin Halys. Andy Murray starts his tournament tomorrow. Women’s No7 seed Coco Gauff also faces Sofia Kenin later on day one.
