Prince William and Kate Middleton will have awkward new neighbours next month - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to return to the UK next month as they line-up a number of charity events.
The couple are expected to stay at their five-bed Frogmore Cottage when they fly in from California in September.
Harry and Meghan will arrive days after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge move into their new family home at Adelaide Cottage, just 900 yards away - but both parties have 'no plans' to meet up.
The visit is planned after the rift between the brothers entered a "rotten new phase," a royal expert claimed with William and Harry not pictured together during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
It sparked speculation that they are still feuding following Harry's decision to quit the Royal Family and his bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside his wife.
Prince Harry will be in the UK weeks before his new tell-all memoir is set to be published.
Before their summer return, it is believed Harry had only seen his brother twice since leaving royal life - at the funeral of Prince Philip and at an unveiling of a statue of their late mother Princess Diana.
The Sussexes and Cambridges are set to spend time at close quarters, but one source says they will snub the opportunity to meet.
It is the first time the two families would have been neighbours since Harry and Meghan moved out of Kensington Palace in 2019.
However, no plans in the Sussexes' current schedule indicate the pair will see the Cambridges, it has been claimed.
Insiders say there is "no chance" that an invite will be offered to spend some time together at one of the properties.
It was claimed that Meghan slammed the door on her sister-in-law Kate four years ago and 'threw her flowers in the bin' following an argument over a bridesmaid dress fitting days before the Sussexes’ wedding.
“I don’t think they would bump into one another unless it was pre-arranged," Ingrid Seward, the editor of Majesty Magazine, told The Sun.
“I suppose one could go round with some flowers as a peace offering, but remember what happened last time.”
Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
But a source told The Daily Telegraph that the visit would come during a busy week with "lots of moving parts" and the couple's spokesman said: "Prince Harry and Meghan are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September."
Harry and Meghan, who renewed their lease on Frogmore Cottage in April, will also spend time in Manchester during their visit.
William and Kate will move in to Adelaide Cottage with George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and Louis before the end of August.
The Cambridge family are leaving their Kensington Palace residence to be nearer the Queen.
The Sussexes trip will also coincide with the Queen also planning to be in the area, as she returns from her summer holiday at Balmoral in Scotland to welcome a new Prime Minister after Boris Johnson steps down on September 6.
Speaking of the potential meetings, a senior palace source said: “There are obviously a lot of moving parts with everyone’s schedules but nothing is being ruled out.”
The Sussexes will head to Manchester for the One Young World Summit, an event which brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries, on September 5.
Former actress Meghan, a counsellor for the organisation, is lined up to deliver a the keynote address at the opening ceremony.
They will then head to Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event on September 6, before returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards in London on September 8 where Harry will deliver a speech.
Prince Harry is currently locked in a bitter legal battle with the Government over a decision by the Home Office to strip him of his taxpayer funded security when visiting the UK.
