ABC News correspondent Will Reeve, 34, said on Sept. 29 that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer this spring after noticing a lump in his left testicle, just months after his January wedding. His wife, Amanda, encouraged him to get evaluated, and an ultrasound found a mass, ABC News reported.

Reeve said he is sharing his story to raise awareness. His experience highlights a pattern that matters for young men and the people close to them: the first sign of testicular cancer is often a painless lump, and it is easy to hope it will go away.
