Will Harrison Butker play this week? Injury updates for Chiefs kicker

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without star kicker Harrison Butker in their Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Butker was added to Kansas City’s injury report on Thursday and is reported to be headed for a stint on the Chiefs’ injured reserve list.

Harrison Butker injury update

Butker is dealing with a knee injury, though the exact nature of his condition remains unclear. He was not on Kansas City’s injury report after the Chiefs’ practice session on Wednesday but was promptly placed on the team’s injured reserve list on Thursday.

How long will Harrison Butker be out?

Butker will have to miss at least four games before he can return from Kansas City’s injured reserve list. Early reports indicate that Butker may be able to recover from his latest injury in three to four weeks, but regardless of his status, he will miss a minimum of four contests.

Chiefs kicker depth chart

After placing Butker on their injured reserve list, the Chiefs signed rookie kicker Spencer Shrader off the New York Jets’ practice squad. Shrader should be expected to see action in all of Kansas City’s games while Butker is on the mend.
