Will Connor Goldson's late Rangers strike prove crucial in the title race? Monday Jury

Rangers kept on Celtic's coat-tails with a late win at Dundee. How significant was Connor Goldson's strike?

KEITH JACKSON: The second half salvage mission might just have kept them in the title race. With an inferior goal difference had they also fallen six points off the pace they would have needed snookers to knock Celtic off top spot in the final seven games.

ANDY NEWPORT:
Huge. There's been plenty of question marks over whether this side has the bottle for the title fight but they came up with a massive result at Dens on a day when they were miles off it. It's still all to play for with seven games to go.

FRASER WILSON: In terms of keeping the title race alive it was massive. Had it stayed 1-1 and the gap stretched to five points then I reckon Celtic’s lead and significantly better goal difference would have been insurmountable.

DAVID McCARTHY: Absolutely massive. Rangers needed two goals in the second half or the title was hanging by a thread. They got them and they're still in it.

Celtic have gone 31 domestic games without defeat. If their player of the season awards were tonight, who wins it?

KEITH: Callum McGregor. Yes, Jota has been a sensation, Kyogo Furuhashi is a superstar in the making and Joe Hart has filled an enormous hole between the sticks but the man in the mask has been Celtic’s heartbeat since taking the armband from Scott Brown. He’s been nothing short of heroic.

ANDY: Kyogo was the star man during the first half of the campaign before injury struck while Giorgos Giakoumakis is the form man now but there's no doubt Jota has been their most consistent performer throughout. Callum McGregor might push him close though.

FRASER: Joe Hart arrived for £1m and plugged the biggest problem at Parkhead in the blink of an eye. The big keeper has been superb between the sticks and oozes professionalism on and off the pitch.

DAVID: The glue which holds this team together is Callum McGregor. Others might be more flamboyant and eye-catching but the captain is the main man.

Can Aberdeen gatecrash the top six after beating Hibs at the weekend?

KEITH: With just two points between them and fifth place, of course they could. But this has been a desperately poor season for the Dons and it’s difficult to make a case for them deserving a place in the top half of the table.

ANDY: Things are so tight between fourth place and 10th that anything is possible but if they do, it's a major let off given they've been so off the pace for most of the season.

FRASER: That victory was crucial and I reckon the Dons will build on it against Ross County and Dundee to grab a top six spot and go on to finish fourth and put a glimmer of gloss on an otherwise dreadful season.

DAVID: Their win at the weekend and other results falling their way means they've got a chance. Six points from Ross County and Dundee are achievable and they've a real chance.

With Lyndon Dykes out of Thursday’s clash with Poland, name your Scotland starting X1.

KEITH: It might be worth dipping into Steve Clarke’s back catalogue and deploying John McGinn as a second striker - making room for Ryan Jack in midfield. This team would look the part: Gordon, Patterson, McTominay, Hanley, Tierney, Robertson, McGregor, Gilmour, Jack, McGinn, Adams.

ANDY: Gordon; McTominay, Hanley, Tierney; Patterson, Jack, Gilmour, McGinn, Robertson; Christie, Adams.

FRASER: Gordon, Patterson, Hendry, Hanley, Tierney, Robertson, Gilmour, McGregor, McGinn, Adams, Brown.

DAVID: In a 3-5-1-1 formation, I'd go...Gordon; McTominay, Hanley, Tierney; Hickey, Jack, Gilmour, McGregor, Robertson; McGinn; Adams.
