It might seem a limited choice question, however, when only two teams have won the title over the past 37 years then there's not often need for extra names on the ballot paper.
Hearts chief Joe Savage rightly talked up his side's desire to shake up Scottish football but for now Celtic and Rangers remain the standout teams in Scottish football. In the green corner, Ange Postecoglou 's Premiership champions haven't lost a league game since last September and return to the Champions League group stage for the first time in five seasons.
But their rivals on the blue side are full of belief that their thrilling run to the Europa League Final is just the start of a trophy-laden era under the watchful gaze of Giovanni van Bronckhorst. That kicked off with a Scottish Cup Final war or attrition win over Hearts less than 72 hours after heartbreak against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville.
Who will come out on top this time around? Sportmail columnists Hugh Keevins and Kenny Miller give the edge to Rangers but are those views shared by some of the biggest names in Scottish football.
Record Sport runs the rule over what the legends and pundits are predicting ahead of the new Premiership season getting underway next week.
Kenny Dalglish
Liverpool and Celtic icon Kenny Dalglish has been effusive in his praise of Rangers' thrilling European exploits but he senses it will be Postecoglou who experiences domestic bliss once again.
Speaking in the Sunday Post, he said: "Giovanni will be looking at the situation over at Celtic, and seeing that Ange has improved his squad. They have been active in the transfer market and in the past few days have added Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz.
"Added to the squad which won back the Premiership last season, for me it makes Celtic the team to beat this season. Sure, the transfer window is open for another six weeks or so, and Rangers might yet do more business. But the Parkhead club look very strong.
"Right now, they are favourites for the Premiership, Rangers will really need to produce something special to stop them. But league titles are never won on paper, it's what you do out on the park.
Kris Boyd
Former Rangers goal machine Kris Boyd isn't putting his neck on the line, for now, but believes there is little to split the Glasgow rivals heading into the new season.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, he said: "Last season, the league went to the wire and I believe there is still nothing between the top two. Celtic took the title and also the League Cup, Rangers reached a European final and won the Scottish Cup.
"For 10 years it was about total dominance Celtic won nine and Rangers won one, and on each occasion they wiped the floor with the other and ran away with the league. Last season was exciting and it was brilliant to cover the games. I think a title race brings an edge to our work on the television, too."
Mark McGhee
The former Dundee, Motherwell and Aberdeen manager is a fan of Rangers under the guidance of of Van Bronckhorst but he senses his old club Celtic will edge another title thriller to make it 11 triumphs over the past 12 years.
He told the Sunday Post: "Like Rangers, Celtic have had a few comings and goings this summer, leaving each with plenty of different permutations to chew over.
"With both clubs, it is going to be fascinating to see exactly what impact all the new faces make. With Champions League football coming up, I wouldn't be surprised if Celtic add more to their options.
"I certainly don't see them dropping their levels from last season. But how much better they are going to be, time will tell. Are Rangers brave enough to prioritise the league over Europe? For me, that is the key question of 2022/23 title race.
"As busy as the (Rangers) recruitment staff have been, I'd like to see them sign someone near-guaranteed to score 15-20 goals a season, so that when they do lose Alfredo Morelos, they have a direct replacement waiting in the wings. Overall, I think they will go close – if they prioritise the title."
Andy Walker
The former Celtic star believes the ongoing transfer hunt can prove crucial in the race for title glory.
He told Mail on Sunday: "You always have to wait until the end of the window when players may suddenly leave or arrive. In terms of their title defence, Celtic did well to get their transfer business done early.
"Ange Postecoglou has some decent options. Bringing the title back to Celtic so quickly has really enhanced his reputation. The football was something to really enjoy, a good pace to the game and high intensity."
