Leeds United's new kid on the block Wilfried Gnonto can't wait to get started at Elland Road after making the deadline day switch. The Italian international, who came through the youth set-up at Inter Milan, signed a five-year deal with the Whites for an undisclosed fee from FC Zurich.
The Leeds hierarchy are understood to have accelerated their plans to bring in the 18-year-old, with the original plan to sign the striker next January. The deadline day move for Bamba Dieng came as a late blow to the Whites and Gnonto was a late addition.
Speaking to Leeds United, he said: "It was a little bit strange but I'm very happy to be here. I think this is a great club and I can't wait to see all the fans and be at Elland Road - hopefully soon.

"I was very proud and my family too, because Leeds United is and incredible club with a great history. Playing in the Premier League is something that I wanted. I think it's something that'll drive me to work even more. I can't wait to see all the fans. I can't wait to play and help the team.
"I can give my best with this game. I think it's a game with a lot of power, a lot of speed and it's good for me because I think I'm also this type of player.
