Wildcat kittens have been born at a conservation centre - and will become the first of their species to be released into the wild in the UK.
Eight kittens from three litters have been born at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland's Highland Wildlife Park, near Kingussie, Highlands.
Delighted staff are hoping for more births in the coming weeks after 16 wildcats were paired up earlier this year as part of the Saving Wildcats campaign.
