A Wigan Athletic supporter has been slapped with a large fine and a ban following disorder at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park in November last year. The trouble mainly took place in the Barn Park Stand after Wigan scored a 90th minute winning goal.
Police launched an investigation into the matter and a number of CCTV and police BodyWornCamera images were released by investigators and identified a slew of fans, reports Plymouth Live.
Last week 23-year-old Matthew Burgoyne, of Wigan Road, Standish in Lancashire, appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court where he pleaded guilty to the disorder on November 27, 2021.

The court heard how Burgoyne was involved in a fight in the players' car park before the final whistle and was seen to punch a Plymouth Argyle supporter.
Magistrates' fined Burgoyne £1,102 and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £110. In addition he was ordered to pay court costs of £310. He was ordered to pay the entire £1,522 sum within 28 days.
Burgoyne was also made subject to a Football Banning Order (FBO) lasting three years which will ban him from "entering Wigan Town centre and around the area of Wigan Athletic’s ground on Saturdays and Sundays four hours prior to kick off and six hours on the conclusion of the fixture when Wigan have a home fixture, and on any other weekday from 4pm to 12 midnight when Wigan have a home fixture."
In addition, the FBO bans him from "attending at or travelling to, any town or city in the United Kingdom on a day that Wigan are playing there" and from "attending at or travelling to, any town or city in the United Kingdom on a day that England are playing there."
In July magistrates dished out a similar order on another Wigan fan and hit an Argyle fan as well as another Wigan fan following the police's investigation. Breach of a Football Banning Order is a criminal offence punishable by up to six months in prison.
