The Lathums have joined the line-up for the 6 Music festival, taking place in Manchester later this month. The Wigan band will play an intimate show at the Band on the Wall on March 23.
The show will be part of the BBC Music Introducing Live night, and will see them joining the bill with other Manchester artists Afflecks Palace, Antony Szmierek and Phoebe Green. The show will be broadcast live as part of DJ Tom Robinson’s coverage of the festival.
The Lathums’ lead singer Alex Moore says: “We’re really excited to join the 6 Music Festival and for our set to go out live on air, beautiful stuff.”

Joe McGrath, BBC Radio Manchester presenter added: “I can’t believe how lucky the listeners and festival goers will be – experiencing a live performance by The Lathums, and from such an iconic Manchester venue as Band on the Wall.”
The band’s second album, From Nothing to a Little Bit More, is currently at number one in the UK album charts, following in the footsteps of their debut set, 2021’s How Beautiful Life Can Be, which also went to number one.
The 6 Music festival takes place from March 24 to 26 at the Victoria Warehouse, with Manchester recently announced as the festival’s permanent home. Loyle Carner headlines Friday night, alongside Wu-Lu, with Christine and the Queens premiering a new show on March 25, followed by Rave Forever, featuring DJ sets from Hot Chip, Afrodeutsche and Erol Alkan.
Closing will be Arlo Parks and The Big Moon on the Sunday night, with a DJ set from Don Letts. Details and tickets can be found here…
