Widower of murder victim begged Law & Order to change storyline inspired by real-life case, star says

Law & Order star Jesse L. Martin has revealed how a murder victim’s widower once begged him to have a plot line changed in the long-running TV series, because it so closely mirrored what had happened to his late partner.

Martin, 57, starred as Detective Ed Green from 1999 to 2008 in the police procedural which regularly works aspects of real-life crimes and investigations into its episodes.
