Wicked musical Bristol dates and how you can get tickets

The smash hit musical Wicked is coming to the Bristol Hippodrome next year as part of its 2024 UK tour. Telling the backstory of the iconic Wizard of Oz witches, and based on the acclaimed novel by Gregory Maguire, the show has broken many box-office records around the world, and it's currently the 12th longest running show in West End history.

It has won more than 100 major international theatre awards, including three Tonys, two Oliviers, and a Grammy among others. Next year is going to be another big year for Wicked, as the first part of a two-part film adaptation - starring Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey - is set for release on Christmas Day in 2024.

When is Wicked coming to Bristol? And how long is it staying for?

Wicked will be doing a five-week run here in Bristol, from Tuesday, January 23 to Sunday, February 25, 2024. So there will be plenty of opportunities to see the show (maybe even more than once).

When do tickets go on sale and how much will they be?

Tickets are on sale now and range in price depending on where you choose to sit in the theatre. The starting price is around £20, with a transaction fee of £3.80, while the most expensive tickets are priced at around £135.

Where can I buy tickets to Wicked?

You can buy your tickets now from the ATG Tickets website here. You can also head to the theatre's official box office.

Anyone we know in the cast?

Welsh singer and X Factor and Eurovision alumni, Lucie Jones, is currently listed on the Official Wicked website as playing the role of Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West). Helen Woolf is listed as playing Glinda (the Good Witch), with Ryan Reid as Fiyero, Sophie-Louise Dann as Madame Morrible and Mark Curry as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
