The Thazhakara grama panchayat in Alappuzha has published a status report on the achievements of the local body over the last 25 years, its challenges and the way forward in connection with the formulation of the 14th Five-Year Plan. It is perhaps the first grama panchayat in Alappuzha district to come up with such a document.
K.K. Viswambharan, vice chairman, Planning Committee, Thazhakara grama panchayat, says the local body has made strides in various sectors through the people's planning movement, which turned 25 years in August 2021.
