At the start of Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla‘s tenure in that role at the start of the NBA’s 2022-23 season, the sobriquet of “Mazzulla ball” had not yet taken shape on the court, never mind in our collective consciousness. Not just an endless barrage of shots from beyond the arc, Mazzulla ball is actually a mix of attacks that rely on the spacing created by the 3-point shot and aggressive ball movement.
