Rangers defender Olwethu Makhanya is determined to get over his World Cup heartache after hitting out at previous South Africa boss Hugo Broos.
Makhanya has won plenty of plaudits since his £3 million move from MLS side Philadelphia Union in the summer.
But although he was included in the South African squad for the World Cup, he never played a minute, with then-manager Broos a vocal critic about the standard of the MLS.
He's been named in new manager Pitso Mosimane's squad and the veteran boss, who is now on his third stint in charge of the Bafana Bafana, is set to use him as a key man for their upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea and a friendly against Egypt.

And the 22-year-old is keen to work with the new manager.
He said: "I saw the coaching change as an opportunity for a fresh start in the national team because I always felt like I was overlooked by the previous manager.
"I never understood the criticism because all these people probably never actually watched the MLS.
"People that really watch that league will tell you that it's high level football.
"Honestly if I were to rank the leagues that I have played in, I'll put the Scottish Premiership first, second is the MLS and the South African Premiership is third."
