Mason Mount has revealed he and Jorginho were "laughing on the bench" at Timo Werner during Chelsea's FA Cup semi-final win over Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Blues will take on Liverpool next month following the 2-0 victory over their London rivals.
Mount wrapped the game up for Chelsea in the second-half following Ruben Loftus-Cheek's opener not too long before. The man of the match, though, as per ITV, was Werner.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form for Chelsea recently, scoring three goals in as many matches as he looks to fight for his future at Stamford Bridge. "He's [Werner] been brilliant since he came in at Southampton and then in Madrid," Mount said on Werner to Chelsea's official website.

"You can see he's full of energy. In the second-half, there was a moment where he missed a chance but then me and Jorginho were laughing on the bench because he sprinted all the way back to the halfway line and made a tackle.
"That's what we're all about. He gives everything so I am very pleased for him. He got a little assist, could have had another one and he could have had a couple of goals as well. He's done so well the past couple of games."
Werner's form, it's fair to say, has shocked many. Before the recent matches against Southampton, Real Madrid and Crystal Palace, the German looked as if he could leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
However, Joe Cole thinks Werner has now earned himself a future in west London. He told ITV Sport: "It was a lovely assist for Mason. He's always a bright spark, he always brings something to the party. Even when he's not at his very very best. I think after the last three or four weeks there may be a future for him at Chelsea. On that role high up on the left, he threatens, he gets behind.
"He can be very pleased with his day's work. That's for sure." He added: "Timo Werner doesn't give up. When he doesn't score a goal, he's offering something else."
