Why isn't Emmerdale on TV Tuesday and Wednesday? Soap pulled from schedule in major change

Emmerdale Tony Audenshaw Bob Hope Bernice Blackstock FA Cup

Emmerdale is set for a major schedule change this week as the ITV soap will be pulled off air to make way for the football.

The broadcaster will instead be screening the FA Cup on Tuesday and Wednesday. ITV and BBC will be airing the Fulham v Leeds FA Cup match, which kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile Manchester United will be taking on West Ham United at Old Trafford, with a kick-off time of 7.45pm on Wednesday. To make up for the missing episode, Emmerdale will air an hour-long episode on Thursday and Friday.
