The news that Love Island 2022's Liam Llewellyn has quit the show has stunned viewers, and has equally left his co-stars reeling.
It's now been reported that the Islander ditched villa life as he wasn't keen, and he felt someone else would "enjoy the experience better" than him.
A source told MailOnline: "It was so unexpected, with only a few days into the series, an Islander has already walked from the villa.
"Liam felt his place on the show should be offered to someone that would enjoy the experience better, which is admirable."
It will be aired on Friday night, as Liam gathers all of the Islanders at the fire pit ahead of the recoupling.
He says: "I think we need to have a chat, we need to get everyone by the fire pit.”
It's then that he tells them all the news, and explains his reasons for his early exit just days into the show.
It has yet to be confirmed whether Liam will appear on this weekend's After Sun, and full details on his departure will air in the next episode.
His decision to exit leaves not one but two girls at risk of being dumped in the recoupling that takes place that evening.
It's up to the boys to pick their chosen girl around the fire pit on Friday night, with one girl left single.
With Liam gone, it's not clear whether a dumping will still happen or if they will hold off.
That said, it's not going to be a straight forward decision of who leaves now, given two females will be left alone, and not just one.
Viewers will have to tune in on Friday to find out who gets picked, and which two girls are single.
The show will likely reveal what will happen next then, and whether a dumping or two will still take place.
With Luca Bish torn between Paige Thorne and Gemma Owen, and the bombshells causing havoc, it really could be anyone left standing alone.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
