The ACT Government is seeking a naming rights partner for the National Arboretum's visitor centre.
A "separate, smaller naming opportunity" is also available for the Pod Playground.
The visitor centre was previously known as the Village Centre, because it was sponsored by the Village Building Company for many years.
A new sponsor is now being sought for both the visitor centre and award-winning playground.
According to the arboretum, a company having its name on the visitor centre represented "a unique opportunity to elevate your organisation's profile through association with one of Australia's leading cultural institutions, reaching more than one million annual onsite visitors and an active digital audience".
"The National Arboretum Canberra's previous naming rights partnership played a significant role in the Arboretum's growth over the past decade," a spokesperson for the arboretum said.
"A new partnership will help deliver the vision of the arboretum by supporting future infrastructure, enhancing visitor experiences and caring for the living collection.
"It also offers businesses a unique opportunity to support one of Canberra's most loved destinations and contribute to its important conservation, education and research focus areas."
A potential naming sponsor of the playground would be "suited to organisations seeking strong community visibility and alignment with family, wellbeing and outdoor recreation".
The arboretum is seeking a minimum five-year naming rights agreement with extension options.
"Sponsors should have a strong reputation and demonstrate a commitment to positive social, environmental or community impact," the spokesperson said.
"Sponsorship arrangements will be assessed to ensure they are consistent with the arboretum's purpose and contribute positively to its reputation."
Arboretum patron John Mackay said the sponsorship would help to support the work of the popular attraction and provide a considerable platform for any future sponsor.
"The arboretum is now attracting one million visitors a year which is more than most other institutions in Canberra and right up there with new Parliament House and the War Memorial," Mr Mackay said.
Expressions of interest close on September 21.
"We are inviting the market to propose the value it places on this opportunity. These proposals will be assessed against an independent valuation to help determine a fair, equitable, and mutually beneficial outcome," the spokesperson said.
