Chinese tech giants like Alibaba Group Holdings (NYSE: BABA), Baidu Inc (NASDAQ: BIDU), and JD.com (NASDAQ: JD) gained as much as 5%, whereas Tencent Holdings (OTC: TCEHY) edged slightly higher.
