The winner of MasterChef: The Professionals has officially been announced. The 2022 final aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday, December 11.
Just three chefs made it through to the finale after being whittled down from 32. After six weeks of heats and challenges, Gregg Wallace, Marcus Wareing and Anna Haugh, who replaced long-serving judge Monica Galetti for the new series, put Sagar, Nikita and Charlie through to the last stage of the competition.
The final challenged the talented chefs to cook a three-course meal for the MasterChef judges, with just three hours to produce an impressive starter, main and dessert.

"As good as they are we can only have one winner, one champion," Gregg said before the three announced Nikita Pathakji as the 2022 winner.
After her win, Nikita said: "This is incredible, I can't put it into words. This surpasses every achievement of my life, I don't know how I'm going to top this." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
