The Boston Celtics traded for star Washington Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis to kick off their 2023 NBA offseason, making significant changes to their roster by sending out Marcus Smart and other players to make the deal legal in salary matching terms.
That had the trickle-down effect of potentially shaking up the team’s frontcourt as well, with the Latvian center commanding many of the minutes in the Celtics’ big man rotation along with veteran forward Al Horford and defensive menace Robert Williams III also looking at significant playing time next season. But with Porzingis and Timelord both injury-prone and Horford closer to 40 years old than not, who will start for Boston next season?
The hosts of the “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast put their heads together on a recent episode to try to answer that very question.
Check out the clip embedded above to hear what conclusions they came to.
