Who should be Rangers keeper next season and can Andy Murray WIN the Australian Open? Saturday Jury

Michael Beale has laid down the gauntlet to his goalkeepers - should he be Rangers number one next season or is it time for a new keeper?

DAVID MCCARTHY: I would be surprised if either Jon McLaughlin or Robby McCrorie are Rangers' first choice keeper next season, although McCrorie needs a chance to stake a claim. My money’s on a new No 1 next season.

FRASER WILSON: Right now Jon McLaughlin should get a run of games to decide once and for all if he’s the answer. He was unfairly dropped after a bad Old Firm game earlier in the season and is all round a solid keeper.

ANDY NEWPORT: McGregor’s time appears to be up while McLaughlin simply isn’t a safe enough pair of hands. Robby McCrorie will deserve a chance to stake a claim when he’s back from injury but unless the 24-year-old can convince Michael Beale he’s ready, the Ibrox boss must make recruiting a No.1 his summer priority.

How do you see the Edinburgh derby going and is it win or bust for Lee Johnson?

DAVID: Not win or bust but certainly a win would give him a massive boost. Can’t see it, though. Hearts are flying and have a far stronger stronger squad.

FRASER: It’s hard to see past Hearts who are on a brilliant run of form and scoring goals for fun. A Scottish Cup exit to the Jambos was Shaun Maloney’s undoing last season but Hibs need continuity and I reckon Johnson will get some grace from the boardroom.

ANDY: It certainly is as far as turning this season around but I’m not sure dumping another boss is what’s needed at Easter Road. A clear out of the playing staff should be higher up Ron Gordon’s to-do list, as I’m sure Hearts will prove again with a convincing win this Sunday.

Where does Aberdeen’s humiliating 5-0 defeat at Hearts leave Jim Goodwin?

DAVID: On a sticky wicket but one that he can survive, so long as Dons don’t lose at Darvel on Monday. He needs to sort his defence but the rest of the team is decent and should start picking up results.

FRASER: Desperately requiring a run of good wins. Darvel on Monday has to be taken care of comprehensively then Hibs away, St Mirren and Motherwell at home needs to be the foundation for a push back towards third. Goodwin is living to regret his early comment about easily sorting out the defence because the Dons backline is a shambles.

ANDY: Hanging on by his fingertips. The Dons had actually started that Tynecastle clash well but as soon as they went two down so did the tools. A good chunk of the team were Goodwin’s signings so he has to bear responsibility.

Andy Murray is defying the odds in Melbourne again - do you think he could produce another major victory next week?

DAVID: If Murray were to win this thing it would be one of the greatest sporting stories of all time. He won’t, surely, but while he’s in it, he can win it. If his body holds up, who knows?

FRASER: Only a fool would write off the greatest Scottish sportsperson of modern times. His place in history has long been assured but if he was to nab another Major at this stage of his career it would be superhuman. Bigger tests tie ahead though starting today against Roberto Bautista Agut.

ANDY: As much as I’d love to see the great man roll back the years and finally lift an Aussie Open title after five final defeats, the likelihood is the toll on his weary limbs will eventually prove too much. But let’s just enjoy every moment of it while we can.
