Who Is Wyndham Clark's Caddie? Meet David Pelekoudas

Wyndham Clark and David Pelekoudas at the RBC Heritage.

Wyndham Clark was thrust firmly into the spotlight following his maiden PGA Tour win at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship.

Following that, the American claimed his first Major title, at that year's US Open, finished third at the Tour Championship two months later, played in the Ryder Cup and won one of the PGA Tour's signature events in 2024, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Throughout that time - and earlier - Clark had his friend and former professional John Ellis on his bag.

However, the pair split in March 2026 following a prolonged slump in form.

Following their parting of the ways, Ellis told Sirius XM PGA Tour Radio’s Gravy & The Sleeze with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz: "When things aren’t going great and I care more about, you know, Wyndham and I’s friendship, you know, we’re friends before business, and things just weren't right."

Since splitting with Ellis, Clark has linked up with David Pelekoudas. Previously, he has worked with players including Brian Campbell, Taylor Moore, Sam Ryder, Beau Hossler and Shawn Stefani.

Crucially, he has also previously worked with Clark. That came during the first two rounds of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational, when he took on the role after Ellis was hit with a fever before the tournament.

It didn't knock Clark off his stride in the opening rounds as he featured near the top of the leaderboard in time for Ellis' return for the third round.

It's not just golf that Pelekoudas, who is known as Big Wave Dave, has a keen interest in. He's also a fan of baseball and football, and supports the Chicago Cubs and New England Patriots, while he enjoys basketball, too.

However, it's as a caddie that Pelekoudas really excels, and it didn't take long for his work with Clark to reap rewards, either.

The star placed an encouraging T21 at the 2026 Masters alongside Pelekoudas, while he then claimed his fourth PGA Tour title at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, bringing him his first win since early 2024.
