Netflix's new true-crime documentary The Tinder Swindler has reached the top of the streaming platform's charts.
The film has proved a massive hit since its release in early February, with vast amounts of discussion on social media and in the press.
For anyone who hasn't watched it yet, Netflix' s official synopsis of the documentary says: "Swipe, swipe, swipe… It's not easy to find love online, so when Cecilie matches with a handsome billionaire playboy, she can't quite believe it when he turns out to be the man of her dreams."

But who is the real Tinder Swindler, and has he made a return to social media, as reported?
Who is the Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev?
The Sun report that the subject of the documentary "Simon Leviev" is actually a 31-year-old Israeli man by the name of Shimon Hayut, who was born in Bnei Brak (east of Tel Aviv).
Posing as the son of a diamond tycoon, he "swindled" thousands out of his Tinder dates, always promising to pay them back.
The Sun go on to report that, in 2019, he was convicted of theft, fraud, and forgery and served five months of a fifteen-month prison sentence.
Is Simon Leviev on Instagram?
According to The Tab, the "Tinder Swindler" has made a return to Instagram.
After the Netflix film was released, he claimed that his original account was hacked but it was reported that he returned to the platform as @simon_leviev_official.
The account showed him taking pictures in stylish cars, dressed in expensive-looking clothes and, despite following no one, had 231k followers.
However, the account now appears as unavailable.
