Who is Joe Tracini as actor shares mental health update

Actor Joe Tracini of Hollyoaks says he "still feels mental most days" and longs for "the old me" to come back.

Following his diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder in 2019, Tracini has previously discussed his five attempts at suicide.

He has recently provided additional information regarding the ways in which the pandemic negatively impacted his mental health.

Tracini explained on Tuesday (November 7) during an appearance on Lorraine that performing was a "break" and that it made him feel "safe".

He said: "I still feel the most mental you could possibly be most days, especially at the moment, I’ve not been able to adjust into the world since the lockdowns and stuff like that.

"I am not the same person I used to be, and I think that is why I am still struggling and am waiting for the old me to turn up, but I didn’t go anywhere, I am still sat here."
