Jeremy Hunt has been appointed as the new Chancellor of the Exchequer in a dramatic day for Liz Truss' Conservative party.
The new appointment comes after the Prime Minister sacked Kwasi Kwarteng just three weeks after his mini-budget wreaked havoc on the UK's economy.
Kwarteng's departure makes him the second-shortest serving Chancellor in history after Iain Macleod, who died after a month in office.
