New Netflix series Heartstopper has quickly become an instant favourite for viewers. The screen adaptation of Alice Oseman's graphic novel has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, an amazing result for any show.
The teen drama centres on a heart-warming queer love story between Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring, who's friendship grows into something more as they navigate the pitfalls of school life. The show has given a big break to young, queer performers, including trans actress Yasmin Finney, who is playing Trans teens Elle Argent and fellow new comer Joe Locke as Charlie.
Joining these newcomers – who are all friends in real life – is Kit Connor, playing the loveable rugby boy Nick. So who is Kit, and what roles has he played before this?

Who is Heartstopper actor Kit Connor and what other films and TV shows has the Netflix actor been on?
Kit Connor is only 18-years-old but has already had some impressive roles before he co-lead on Heartstopper. Standing at 5ft 11 inches tall, the English actor was born in Croydon, South East London.
He went to Hayes Primary School in Kenley and to the Independent Whitgift School in South Croydon. He made his big screen debut in the 2014 family comedy Get Santa, but he was made his original debut back when he was 8. He had minor appearances in Chickens on Sky One, the television film An Adventure in Space and Time, and the soap opera Casualty.
He's since appeared in Mr. Holmes, Ready Player One, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, Slaughterhouse Rulez and Rocketman. His biggest role was in the Elton John biopic Rocketman. He played Elton John himself, when he was a teenager called Reggie.
On TV, Kit most recently played Pantalaimon, Lyra Silvertongue's dæmon in the HBO drama series His Dark Materials. He has also been in the CBBC show Rocket’s Island, War & Peace and Grantchester.
