Evan Ndicka is the latest player to be linked with a transfer to Liverpool this summer.
According to The Daily Mirror, Liverpool are showing an interest in signing the Eintracht Frankfurt defender at the end of the season. The report states that Ndicka, who would be available on a free transfer this summer, “ticks all the boxes” in terms of what the Reds want in a centre-back.
The report goes on to say that signing Ndicka on a free transfer would enable Liverpool to have more money to spend on other targets, with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and Chelsea’s Mason Mount mentioned by name.

So what more do we know about Ndicka?
Who is Evan Ndicka?
Evan Ndicka came through the youth ranks at French club Auxerre. He made his debut for the club’s first team at the age of 17 back in January 2017.
A month later, Ndicka would become a regular player for Auxerre’s ‘B’ team. And from the 2017/18 season onwards, the centre-back would rejoin the first team and be at the heart of their defence.
Ndicka would play just one full season in Auxerre’s first team before he made his big move to the Bundesliga to join Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018. The German outfit agreed to pay €5.5m (£4.8m) to sign Ndicka and handed him a five-year contract until 2023.
Fredi Bovic, who was Frankfurt’s sporting director at the time, was full of praise for the then-18-year-old Ndicka for his ability at a young age.
"Evan is only 18 years old but he is very mature for his age. He is technically gifted, very fast and good in the air," Bobic said in 2018.
Even at the age of 19, Ndicka was immediately placed in Frankfurt’s starting line-up and made 36 appearances in his debut season.
Ndicka would continue to be a regular starter for Frankfurt until the present day. Despite the club not finishing any higher than fifth place during his time at the club so far, which came in 2020/21, he already has a major trophy in his collection.
Last season saw Ndicka be part of the Frankfurt team that won the Europa League, beating Rangers in the final in Seville. The match went to a penalty shootout, with Ndicka substituted during extra time meaning he was not involved in the spot-kicks.
This season saw Ndicka make his Champions League debut at 23 years old when Frankfurt played Sporting Lisbon last September. He helped the club reach the last-16 stage, before being knocked out by Napoli earlier this month.
