Who is Camila Cabello? Singer performing at the 2022 Champions League final Opening Ceremony

Camila Cabello says she plans to give 'a really special show' for Liverpool and Real Madrid fans as she performs at the Champions League final.

The 'Bam Bam', 'Señorita', and 'Havana' singer will take to the stage before kick-off at the Stade de France on Saturday (May 28).

The Champions League Opening Ceremony has featured huge stars in the past, including the Black Eyed Peas and Liverpool fan favourite Dua Lipa.

It's expected that Camila will perform a five-minute megamix of her biggest hits along with new tracks from her new album ‘Familia’. Speaking about the opening ceremony, Camila said: "I'm so excited to be taking to the stage at the UEFA Champions League final in Paris this month.

"I intend on putting on a really special show, bringing together the spirit of my Latin heritage and a feeling of togetherness for sports and music fans all over the world – I can’t wait."

The performance is set to include a stunning display of costumes, dancers and musicians, with high-energy choreography designed to delight fans in the stadium and at home.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director said: "We are excited to be collaborating with our long-standing partners at Pepsi for yet another highly entertaining Opening Ceremony performance at the 2022 UEFA Champions League final.

"We know that Camila Cabello is one of the world’s most popular artists and she will help us to build on our fans' excitement for the Opening Ceremony performance with a show football fans will never forget."

Who is Camila Cabello?

Camila Cabello, is a Cuban-American singer and songwriter. At the age of 15, she auditioned for The X Factor originally as a solo artist before joining group Fifth Harmony.

The band finished third that season and went on to have hits with 'Miss Movin’ On' and 'Worth It'. Camila left the band in December 2016 to focus on her solo career.

She has since peaked in the charts with her songs 'Crying in the Club', 'Havana' 'Senorita' and recently 'Bam Bam' featuring Ed Sheeran.
