Who did the Oscars omit from the 2026 In Memoriam segment?

The 2026 Academy Awards featured an emotional In Memoriam segment, paying tribute to various Hollywood figures who passed away.
The segment honoured stars such as Robert Redford, Diane Keaton, and Rob Reiner, with tributes delivered by Billy Crystal, Rachel McAdams, and Barbra Streisand.
However, viewers noted the absence of several high-profile names, including French film icon Brigitte Bardot.
Bardot's omission is speculated to be due to her controversial far-right political views and a negative reaction at a recent César Awards tribute.
Other notable figures not included were actors James Van Der Beek, James Ransone, Bud Cort, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Robert Carradine and Eric Dane, and IMAX pioneer David Keighley, whose son expressed disappointment.
