White House refuses to take criticism, tells once-Trump ally to ‘shut his stupid mouth’

As Donald Trump works on an Iran peace deal, called the current framework ‘largely negotiated,’ A large group of Republicans took to social media to react to it. One person who had a negative reaction was once-Trump ally and former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. However, his specific reaction elicited an incredibly blunt response from White House Communications Director Stephen Cheung, who told Pompeo to “shut his stupid mouth.”

Per The Hill, Pompeo posted his thoughts on X, where he compared the emerging framework to previous diplomatic efforts from the Obama era. Pompeo wrote, “The deal being floated with Iran seems straight out of the Wendy Sherman-Robert Malley-Ben Rhodes playbook: Pay the IRGC to build a WMD program and terrorize the world.” He further criticized the strategy as being “Not remotely America First.”
