The White House insists Donald Trump was joking about Diet Coke killing cancer cells after an anecdote from Dr Oz went viral.

Oz, who is currently serving as the administrator for Medicare and Medicaid, shared an anecdote on First Son Don Jr’s Triggered podcast about Trump excusing his prolific soda intake because, as he reportedly puts it, if it kills grass, it must also kill cancer cells within the body.
