Bookmaker Coral makes it odds-on at 1-2 for there to be a White Christmas this year in the UK (snow to fall on any major city). After the cold snap over the last seven days, the firm suggests there is a 66.66% chance of snow on the big day.
"Many parts of the UK have had an early covering of snow, and our betting suggests it won't be the last of it. We make it odds-on for this year to be a White Christmas, with a 66.66% chance of snow falling on the big day," said Coral's John Hill.
William Hill is offering just 7/4 on snow falling in Glasgow and Edinburgh on December 25. The airports at both Scottish cities are the favourites in Hills’ betting for where snow will land, ahead of Belfast Airport at 3/1.
