There was a lot of pressure on Mae Muller's shoulders as she took to the stage in Liverpool to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest. And sadly, it wasn't meant to be this year.
The 25-year-old from north London was the 26th and final act to perform for the international voting public on Saturday nigh (May 13) as the world's biggest music event headed north after the UK was chosen to host the competition on behalf of last year's winners Ukraine.
Mae took to the stage for a playful performance of her track, I Wrote A Song. She sang from a raised platform wearing a slim, black outfit, flanked by four dancers in sheer tops, and surprised the audience with a rapped section.
