Liverpool have completed the signing of 22-year-old Benfica star, Darwin Nunez in the club's first major signing of the summer. In a deal worth upwards of £64million there is plenty for fans to get excited about.
Having scored an impressive 34 goals in 41 appearances for Benfica last season the striker is one of the top talents in European football. Liverpool fans will already be used to his talents having played against the striker in the Champions League, with Nunez scoring in both legs of the tie.

What kit number will Nunez wear next season?
Both Liverpool and wider football fans will eagerly await what Darwin Nunez can bring to Klopp's team next season. The striker becomes the third Uruguayan to sign for Liverpool, following in the footsteps of Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates.
After his unveiling the club has pictured Nunez wearing a shirt with the number 27. This number was worn by cult hero, Divock Origi who left the club this summer to join AC Milan.

Liverpool were one of the first Premier League clubs to release their new Nike Premier League shirt for the 2022/23 season. The new home kit is a plain, yet slightly darker, red design and white/beige logos.
