The latest bowl projections from the Action Network has Michigan State landing in a close-to-home bowl this holiday season.
Brett McMurphy of the Action Network has the Spartans landing in the Detroit Bowl in his updated bowl projections released on Monday. McMurphy has Michigan State facing in-state foe Eastern Michigan in the matchup.
Michigan State is 4-5 overall and 2-4 in Big Ten play following the loss to Indiana this past weekend. The Spartans will need to pick up two more wins in order to reach bowl eligibility.
Michigan State is on a bye this week and will return on November 16 in a road game at Illinois. Kickoff for the matchup between the Spartans and Fighting Illini is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.
