England face Italy in the UEFA Nations League on Friday in what is a must-win match for Gareth Southgate's side after their devastating 4-0 loss to table toppers Hungary. The Three Lions will be desperate for a win against the Italians to lift themselves off the foot of the Group A3 table.
The Three Lions could leap into third spot ahead of the Azzurri if they manage to dispose of their European rivals by a slew of goals in Friday's battle. However, that won't be an easy task for England who could only muster a draw with the Italians when they met in the competition this summer after losing to them in the Euro 2020 final last year.
Italy's intense crowd won't make any easier for England when they enter the San Siro Stadium. But a win for the Three Lions will set the stage for a belter against Germany who they face on Monday.

Three Lions boss Southgate has a plethora of stars from London's top clubs Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham at his disposal for the clash. And it's the last chance for the capital's finest players to make an impact before the World Cup begins in Qatar this winter.
With so much as stake you won't want to miss a minute of the action, and here's all the details of the Nations League clash before it gets underway.
What time does Italy vs England kick off?
Battle will commence between the bitter European rivals on Friday, September 23. With the match starting at 7.45pm UK time.
Italy play hosts to England at the San Siro Stadium which is set to be demolished by 2028 to make way for a new, improved ground for its occupants AC and Inter Milan. The San Siro can seat up to 80,018 supporters with around 4,500 away fans making the trip to support England.
The last time the two sides clashed was at Wolves' Molineux Stadium in June in a game that ended in a stalemate. England's faithful were so enraged with the Three Lions' lacklustre performance, a chorus of boos rang round the stadium after the game.
Where can I watch Italy vs England?
Supporters who won't be travelling to watch the game can catch all the action on Channel 4. The build up for the game will get underway from 7pm.
Fans on the move can stream the game live on the Channel 4 website or All 4 app. And the match will be shown for free, however, these options are only available for those who hold a valid TV license.
Team news
Arsenal 'keeper Aaron Ramsdale is one of three keepers who could start in goal for England. In defence, Chelsea duo Ben Chilwell and Reece James are in contention, along with Tottenham star Eric Dier and Crystal Palace ace Marc Guehi.
Another Blues star Mason Mount is available to start in the midfield, with West Ham anchorman Declan Rice also in the running. Rice's Hammers team-mate Jarrod Bowen has made the cut in attack, but England captain and Tottenham talisman Harry Kane is likely to lead the line, plus Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling may provide support on the flanks.
