There are times in our lives when we pray for a certain thing so passionately, desire it so much, and yet expect things to go exactly our way. There might be a job we want, a relationship we hope for, a dream opportunity, or a specific outcome in our personal life. We are sure our plan is flawless, our choice is the best possible one, and the timing is perfect. But, at times, even with all our efforts and prayers, things just dont work out the way we had hoped. Initially, this might make us feel irritated, downhearted, or even as if we have been treated unjustly. We wonder, "Why is this not happening?" or "Why is life against me?" But most of the time, what we fail to see is that sometimes, life or God has a bigger, wiser plan for us. Our desires might seem to be the right thing for the moment, but Gods will for us is often revealed to be better, safer, and more meaningful in the long run. Often, the biggest blessings are the ones that are totally disguised as rejections. The very things we do not like that happen to us are the ones that change us, keep us safe, and lead us to the life we are supposed to have.
