“When we sat down and started playing some of the Rush stuff, and I realized how hard it was to play these songs”: Alex Lifeson reveals his biggest challenge when preparing for the Rush reunion tour

Rush Alex Lifeson Geddy Lee Neil Peart
(L-R) Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson and singer/bassist Geddy Lee perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena during a stop of the band's Time Machine Tour August 14, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee took everyone by surprise when, just three days ago, they announced that Rush are officially reuniting for a seven-city tour, with the addition of Anika Nills on drums to honor the legacy of the late Neil Peart.

Despite the two jamming and making surprise appearances at various concerts over the past couple of years, Lifeson, in particular, was vocal about his hesitancy to tour again.
