Arsenal are edging closer to completing a move for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, football.london understands.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Mudryk in recent times and football.london reported last month that their opening offer in the region of £55 million was rejected by the Ukrainian giants, who have publicly stated that they value their prize asset at around £88 million. A second bid was also rebuffed before transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that Mikel Arteta's side had lodged a third offer on Thursday evening.
It is now understood that the move is edging closer to completion with talks now focusing on the structuring of the deal. Potential add-ons could be decisive, but it is thought that negotiations are heading in the right direction.

Now, The Times have claimed that Arsenal are confident of wrapping up a deal in the region of £80 million in time for the talented attacker to be in contention to make his debut against Manchester United next weekend. The 22-year-old will be hoping he can make an immediate impact in the Premier League, where the Gunners currently find themselves top of the pile - five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
Before they welcome United to the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta's side travel to N17 to take on local rivals Tottenham Hotspur hoping to do the double over the Lilywhites for the first time since the 2013/14 campaign. Speaking about the match during his pre-match press conference, Arteta said: "That’s the challenge that we have (winning away).
"We have to beat them at their place. That’s the way we have prepared the game."
