When Leeds United's clash with Nottingham Forest could be played after postponement

All Premier League fixtures have been postponed this weekend following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. An announcement was made on Thursday evening that the Queen had passed away and that has plunged the nation into a state of mourning.

As a mark of respect, all Premier League and Football League games scheduled to take place over the course of the weekend and Monday night have been postponed, meaning Leeds United will not host Nottingham Forest on September 12. That game will instead be pushed back with a date to be announced at a later date.

However, finding a spot in a busy footballing calendar to reschedule the contest looks extremely challenging. With the World Cup being played in Qatar over November and December, this season is already hectic and therefore it seems the Premier League may have to rearrange matchday seven to be played in the new year.
