It is the time of the year where the nights are drawing in and some of our TV favourites return for the autumn.
And one British favourite fans are clamouring to see is the new series of the Great British Bake Off.
So from soufflés to star bakes, here is what we know about what we can expect from the 2024 edition.
Will There Be A Great British Bake Off In 2024?
Fear not, cake lovers, it is coming. Channel 4 has confirmed that the show will be returning for its 15th series in 2024. Applications for the 2024 series opened in October 2023, and closed in January 2024, which means we could see the new series on our screens sooner than you think.
When Is Bake Off Back?
Channel 4 has now confirmed that The Great British Bake Off will return to our screens on Tuesday, September 24.
Episodes normally are aired on Channel 4 on Tuesday evenings at 8pm, with the final usually taking place at the end of November.
What have Channel 4 said about the new series?
The channel has not released any official information on contestants just yet but what they have done is give us a sneaky glimpse.
They have released a teaser trailer – a playful cartoon clip that sees winged insect versions of presenters Noel and Alison escape a thunderstorm and delve into a land of baking goodness, a field of Jammy Dodgers, jelly, picnic feasts and plenty more.
What do we know about the 2024 series?
Alison Hammond joined as the show’s new presenter in 2023, alongside Noel Fielding, and it is expected they will both be back for 2024.
Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood are also believed to be returning, despite Prue having stepped down from the celebrity version.
