At some point in life, almost everyone has prayed for something for success, for love, for health, for a problem to go away, for life to become easier. Prayer is often a moment of hope, a conversation with something bigger than ourselves. It is where people go when they feel helpless grateful scared, or lost. However, one of the most challenging spiritual experiences for many is when it seems like their prayers are not being answered. When you have been asking the same thing over and over, and still, nothing changes. When you hope wait believe and things still don't happen the way you wanted. In those situations, people usually wonder the most difficult things: Is God really listening? Does God even care? Am I praying wrong? Why are my prayers not being answered? Unanswered prayers can cause a person's faith to waver more than anything else. It is very easy to believe when everything in life is going well, but utter silence after prayer can be perceived as rejection, loneliness, or even abandonment. Sometimes the answer is not yes, but not now, something else, or even no and each of these answers may have a reason that we do not understand immediately.
