Over the last four weeks Celebrity MasterChef judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace have slowly been whittling down this year's famous contestants by putting their culinary skills to the test. Out of the 20 contestants that took part across the heats, there are now eight stars heading into the semi-final week and hoping they can bag a place in next week's finals.
There is plenty in store for the remaining competitors this week, as they continue to be put through their paces by the MasterChef judges. Across three days of challenges this week, they will be tasked with working in teams, preparing a dish to honour the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and also a visit in the MasterChef kitchen from national treasure and cook Dame Mary Berry.
So what days is Celebrity MasterChef on this week and who are the celebrities in the line-up for semi-final week, here are all the details:
When is Celebrity MasterChef on this week?
The 2022 competition continues this week on Tuesday, September 6 from 9pm, Thursday, September 8 from 8pm and Friday, September 9 from 8.30pm. All episodes will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer and if you miss any of the instalments you'll be able to catch up on the BBC iPlayer.
In Tuesday's episode, the eight remaining contestants; Mel Blatt, Danny Jones, Lesley Joseph, Kitty Scott-Claus, Lisa Snowdon, Faye Winter, Cliff Parisi and Jimmy Bullard, must work together in the first round as they are split into two teams. They'll be pushed out of their comfort zone in the first challenge as they head to North Weald Airfield, home to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
Both teams must design and create four dishes in just three hours for 70 pilots, medics and support staff who work on the site. They'll then return to the MasterChef kitchen to take part in the 'Invention Test' before the judges decide which celebrity is heading home.
On Thursday, the seven remaining famous cooking contestants will be surprised by Dame Mary Berry, as they're challenged with recreating one of her iconic recipes. The second challenge will see them prepare a dish dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen in celebration of the 2022 Platinum Jubilee and one more contestant will be leaving the competition.
In the final round of the semi-finals on Friday, the six contestants left are just two rounds away from winning a spot in next week's finals. They must create a dish which meets the brief of 'comfort food' and not only will they need to impress John and Gregg but restaurant critic, Grace Dent too.
Only five celebs will be going through to the sixth and final week which will start airing on Tuesday, September 13. You can stream the series of Celebrity MasterChef so far over on the BBC iPlayer.
